Vallinoja has performed with leading Finnish ensembles such as the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Cantores Minores, and several regional orchestras. He will make his Savonlinna Opera Festival debut in summer 2025 as Altoum in Puccini’s Turandot.

A dedicated lied interpreter, Vallinoja performs regularly with pianist Jussi Littunen. Their duo has received recognition at international competitions in Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Jyväskylä. He is also a founding member of Bach Collegium Helsinki, an ensemble focused on the music of J. S. Bach.

Reviews

”One standout among the soloists was bass Veikko Vallinoja. Singing with a warmly rounded tone, he delivered his part with confidence and boldness, directly engaging the audience. He possessed the authority expected of a bass soloist in an oratorio.”

”In Part III, soprano Johanna Isokoski and baritone Veikko Vallinoja, as Eve and Adam, sang of their paradisiacal happiness in a graceful, pastoral operatic style.
Their lyrically beautiful voices and technical finesse made them ideal for the roles of Adam and Eve. While the text elevates man as the crown of creation and master of his wife, Haydn’s music thankfully offers a harmonious sense of equality between the pair. The choir echoed their joy with a gently caressing softness.”
