TUOMAS JUUTILAINEN

Biography

Tuomas Juutilainen is currently finishing his master studies in opera coaching at the Sibelius Academy. He completed his bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the Sibelius Academy and the academic year 2015-2016 he studied lied and chamber music at the University of Michigan with professor Martin Katz. He has studied piano and lied music also with Hamsa Al-Wadi Juris, Risto Kyrö, Kathleen Kelly, Ilmo Ranta, Collin Hansen and Heikki Pellinen. Mr. Juutilainen has played song recitals in Taidekoti Kirpilä song recital series, Joroinen music festival and in Turku music festival.

In June 2016 he was Martin Katz fellow at Songfest in Los Angeles and in 2017 he worked as an apprentice coach in the prestigious Merola Opera Program in San Francisco. His studies have been supported by Selim Eskelin Foundation and Finnish Cultural Foundation.
