TUOMAS JUUTILAINEN

Biography

Tuomas Juutilainen is a pianist and piano tuner with roots in Jyväskylä, Finland. He started his musical studies in the Jyväskylä vocational school and graduated as a musician in 2009. In 2011, he stepped into Sibelius Academy for piano performance studies under the lead of professor Hamsa Al-Wadi Juris.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2015, Tuomas continued with the master’s degree. The same year, he went for an exchange year at the University of Michigan, where he had a privilege to work with professor Martin Katz.

Two years later, he graduated from the Sibelius Academy’s Opera coach program. Since the graduation, Tuomas has worked extensively as a répétiteur both in Finland and internationally, in a wide range of opera productions, and also provides private coaching for singers
