Soprano Galina Benevich was born in 1991 in opera singers’ family in Russia. She studied opera singing at the Moscow Classical Academy and Young Artists Program (Meitar opera studio) of New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv. During her study in Moscow, Galina made her opera debut as La Fee (Fairy) in Massenet’s “Cendrillon” (Cinderella) and became an Award Winner of XIX International singing competition for students (Moscow 2014). In Israel Galina studied vocal technic with Anna Skibinsky (soloist of Teatro alla Scala, New York City Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin and many others). At the studio Galina sang roles of: Queen of the night/Papagena “The Magic Flute” (Mozart), Sandman/Dewman “Hansel and Gretel” (Humperdinck), Clorinda “La Cenerentola” (Rossini), Madam Herz “Impresario” (Mozart), Sister Genovieffa “Suor Angelica” (Puccini). Besides, she sang small solo roles on main productions of The Israeli Opera. Galina also participated in Masterclass courses with Renata Scotto, Stefania Bonfadelli, Daniel Ettinger, Giulio Zappa etc.

In 2016 Galina debuted in Europe as Queen of the night, singing in production of “The Magic Flute” at Music Fest Perugia in Italy and became bursary recipient of America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF). On September 2018 returned to her Queen of the Night in production “The Magic Flute” debuting in Germany in Staufer Festspiele (Göppingen).

Galina is the 1st Prize winner in Competition of Jerusalem International Opera Masterclass (JIOM) (July 2017). Immediately after she awarded 2nd Prize and Special Prize Canzone Classica on 15th International competition Mario Lanza in Italy (August 2017) and on July 2018 Galina awarded 2nd Prize and Special Prize in the International Georg Ots Music Festival and Competition in Saint Petersburg with Luca Targetti as a chairman.

From December 2017 Galina Benevich became a full member soloist of Wroclaw Opera House in Poland. She debuted in premiers of the opera house last season with leading roles of Giulietta in “I Capuleti e i Montecchi” (Bellini) and Cunegonde in Bernstein’s “Candide”. Galina regularly appears on the stage of Wroclaw Opera also as Clorinda in “La Cenerentola” (Rossini), Frasquita in “Carmen” (Bizet), Musetta “La Boheme” (Puccini), Olympia “The Tales of Hoffmann” (Offenbach), Ksenia “Boris Godunov” (Musorgsky).
